I’m surprised we ever got past the whole pronunciation of Primer thing. (By the way, it’s like “prIMMer,” not “prEYEmer,” because I say so.) (In fact, I blame Shane Carruth himself for perpetuating the notion that it’s OK to pronounce his movie however you want. I don’t know how someone who has obviously put so much thought into his work can simply shrug off a detail like that. He’s not painting a wall, for goodness’ sake! He’s providing introductory academic material to a very important subject. In an interview one of us looked up [wasn’t me, Ryan, I assure you, so I can’t take the credit], Carruth told the interviewer that so many fans called his movie PrEYEmer that he simply started doing that himself. I’m sorry, Shane, nope. I mean, look, Merriam-Webster’s online pronunciation guide actually speaks it audibly as “prIMMer”! OK, rant over.)
So we never really got past the whole pronunciation thing. Not that Evan cared – he was munching croutons. And hording bees to unleash against his enemies. I dunno. Don’t ask. The Books are good.

i don’t know if you had it right in the podcast or not. i think the context made the actual definition obsolete. leeman’s just being ornery.
