I debated whether or not to write a 1000-word run-on sentence in the spirit of Russian Ark and Sleep’s Dopesmoker, an homage to the unbrokenness of each work. (And, spoiler alert that’s sort of spoiled in like the first minute anyway, Russian Ark is a one-take 90-minute film, and Dopesmoker the album is a one-track, 60-minute song called – hey! – “Dopesmoker.”) But that just sounded really, really tiring, and so I’ll save that writing exercise for another day. Or I’ll just never do it. Yeah, probably never do it.
We were brave listeners and viewers, and we survived.
